Our Story: From Stockholm to the Heart of Texas

In Sweden, sweetness isn't just a flavor - it’s a weekly ritual.

Our journey didn't begin in a boardroom; it started in Stockholm, rooted in the tradition of Lördagsgodis (Saturday Candy). For us, Saturdays were defined by the local shop, a paper bag, and the perfect mix of sweet, sour, and authentic salty licorice.

When we moved our family from Sweden to the Fort Worth area, we brought our entrepreneurial spirit and our favorite playlists - but we couldn't find the high-quality Swedish treats we missed so dearly.

Why We Started

We realized that while Texas has plenty of sweets, the specific "culture" of Swedish candy, the premium ingredients, the vibrant variety, and the ritual of the pick-and-mix was missing.

Founded by Crimson and Lukas Nathanson, Swedish Candy Culture was born to bridge that 5,000-mile gap. As a music producer and an entrepreneurial team raising four children, we wanted to create a space where our neighbors in North Texas could experience the same joy our kids feel when they dive into a fresh bag of godis.

More Than Just a Treat.

We don’t just import candy; we curate a cultural experience.

Our shop is a piece of Scandinavia in the heart of Texas - complete with traditional brands like Marabou, Cloetta, and Malaco in the bins.

Whether you’re a fellow expat looking for a taste of home or a local adventurer ready to try "salty black gold" for the first time, we’re here to share the best of our heritage with you.

Welcome to the family. Let’s make every day feel like a Swedish Saturday.
